Sabetha Fire Department takes delivery of two new brush trucks

Sabetha Fire Chief Jim Johnson takes delivery of two Prairie Ranger Brush Trucks on Tuesday, June 25. The project cost just under $200,000 for both trucks. The chassis were purchased from Aberle Ford in Sabetha before the brush trucks were built by Hays Fire and Rescue. In an agreement between the City of the Sabetha and the Nemaha County Rural Fire District No. 5 Board, the City of Sabetha agreed to purchase half of one of the trucks, while the Rural Fire Board agreed to pay the remainder of the project.
