Morrill City Council

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, Aug. 19, with Mayor Roger Price and members Brad Stolzenberger, Dan Halstead, Todd Gruber and Kevin Wikle present.
The council discussed Main Street north of Hanson Street. After discussion, the matter was tabled.
The council discussed inviting the new city attorney to the next council meeting.
Superintendent Lee Wymer stated he had damaged a steer tire on the backhoe; however, he said it might last a long time.
Gruber said the county could be in town to chip and seal the streets east of Hanson Street toward the end of the week of beginning of the next week.
No action was taken concerning condemnation of the old church.
The council entered into executive session to discuss the clerk’s annual evaluation.

Following the executive sessions, no binding action was taken.

The council reviewed and approved minutes of the budget hearing and regular meeting.
The council approved vouchers.
The council reviewed the delinquent account list.
The council approved a building permit. Three council members were in favor, and one abstained due to a conflict of interest.
No interest was expressed regarding the appointment of a voting delegate for the League of Kansas Municipalities.
