School Organization: Sabetha PTO
The Sabetha Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) met on Monday, Dec. 2, at the Sabetha Elementary School (SES) Library. In attendance were Vice-President Sami Boldra, Treasurer Melissa Dornes, Secretary Hannah Dettwyler, Anita Meyer, Julinne Moore and Miranda Young.
Minutes were approved as read. Dornes read the treasurer’s report, and Dettwyler read all correspondence.
Labels: Best Choice labels raised $27. Crystal Wedel will give a report on November and December Box Top labels at the January meeting.
Cake Raffles: The next raffle is set for Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.
Give to Grow: Five donations totaling $505.84 were collected by PTO. Jennifer Ploeger will send thank you cards to the donors.
Taco Feed: The taco feed is set for Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.
Classroom Enhancement Program: The money raised from Give to Grow will be used for this. The spring funding cycle is coming up next.
Landscape Maintenance: There are no updates at this time.
Classroom Parties: The winter party is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 19. Boldra will e-mail reminders to the head room parent of each class.
Spelling Bee: The spelling bee will be held on Friday, Dec. 13.
Early Release Treats: The second grade is responsible for the upcoming Early Release Treats on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020. A reminder will be sent out to head room parents.
Holiday Giving Trees: The trees are hung and the ornaments are on. Head room parents are encouraged to send their classroom parents a photo of their teachers tree. PTO will also send reminders out on social media.
Support Staff Appreciation: Dornes reported it was a success and the staff was very thankful.
