Dalton L. Holst, 25, of Horton was arrested by the Seneca Police Department (PD) on Feb. 7 on three Richardson County, Neb., warrants for distribution of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia. He remains in custody.
Donald Larson was released on Feb. 8 on $1,257 cash and $1,348.38 cash bonds on the Nemaha County warrants with a court date of Feb. 27. He was also released on a $500 cash bond on the Brown County warrant with a court date of Feb. 12 at 9 a.m.
At 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, Nicholas Ronnebaum, 21, of Onaga was traveling southbound on E Road, 0.3 mile north of 24th Road, when he struck a deer. Ronnebaum was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. Damage was listed at more than $1,000.
At 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, Brian J. Strahm, 52, of Sabetha was traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 63, just west of K Road, when he struck a deer. He was driving a 1993 Ford pickup. Damage was listed at less than $1,000.
At 3 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, Kurtis M. Niehues, 22, of Centralia was traveling northbound on State Highway 63, approximately 3/10 mile south of 80th Road, when he left the east side of the roadway — striking two KDOT signs and then an embankment at a private driveway, which caused his vehicle to become airborne and roll. Niehues was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Nemaha County Coroner. He was driving a 2007 Ford Focus. Damage was listed at more than $1,000.
