Letter to the Editor: Emergency manager appreciates county citizens
As Nemaha County Emergency Manager, I appreciate the members of our community and all of the local businesses for having faith in the Leaders in our communities and supporting us with the difficult decisions we have had to make during this COVID-19 pandemic. Without the cooperation of our citizens and businesses by adhering to social restrictions, this would be much harder on all of us. I assure you that by taking these precautions we are reducing the possible impact that this virus could have on our county. Please continue with the best practices of hand washing, disinfecting, and social distancing. If you are feeling ill, stay home. Along with the Nemaha County Commissioners and Nemaha County Community Health Services, we would like to reassure you that we have the best interest of our community and citizens in mind with every decision we make. We are here to serve you and we will continue to do our best to make the appropriate decisions to protect our citizens. I also appreciate all of the essential employees who are keeping us going during this pandemic. It is impossible to mention everyone, but you know who you are! Hospitals, nursing homes, first responders, day care, grocery stores, restaurants and the trucking industry whom are supplying vital resources, we thank you! We are a strong community and by working together we will make it through this.
