Kenneth Moore, 53, of Seneca was arrested on June 19 on a Shawnee County warrant. Moore remains in custody. No bond is set.
Brentin E. Hughes, 21, of Powhattan was arrested on June 19 by Sabetha Police Department on a Sabetha Municipal bench warrant for failure to appear. Hughes was released on $2,500 surety bond with a court date of July 15 at 4 p.m.
At 2:06 p.m. Friday, June 18, Jason M. Deters, 29, of Centralia was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 36, approximately 1/2 mile west of H Road. Glenn L. Bekemeyer, 67, of Washington was traveling westbound and attempted to pass Deters. During that maneuver, Deters began turning left into a driveway and the vehicles collided. Deters was driving a 1979 John Deere tractor and rake, and Bekemeyer was driving a 2014 Dodge 1500. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 19, Janel J. Niehues, 41, of Goff was traveling northbound on Kansas Highway 62, just south of Kansas Highway 9, and struck a black calf in the roadway. She was driving a 2014 Toyota 4-door. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
At 9:45 p.m. Sunday, June 20, Emilie J. Strahm, 16, of Sabetha was traveling westbound on 232nd Road, 1/2 mile west of X Road, when she struck a deer. She was driving a 2010 Jeep. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
Sometime between Sunday, May 30, and Sunday, June 13, an unknown individual broke into a shed located at 140 V Road and stole multiple items. Approximate loss was $450.
Sometime between Sunday, June 6, and Sunday, June 20, an unknown person shot a BB gun at a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban parked at 512 Mulberry Street in Centralia, causing damage to the windshield. Approximately $500 in damage was estimated.
