Court Update: Gage Gresham
A Sabetha man who was arrested in May 2018 for child sex crimes has waived his preliminary hearing and is now scheduled for arraignment.
Gage Gresham, 20, appeared in court Wednesday, Oct. 17, for his preliminary hearing, which he decided to waive. He is now scheduled for arraignment at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. Gresham was determined earlier this month that he was competent to stand trial after his attorney requested a mental evaluation in September 2018.
Gresham was arrested on Saturday, May 26, and charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child, criminal sodomy and indecent liberties with a child. According to the complaint, it is alleged that Gresham engaged in sexual intercourse, sodomy and lewd fondling or touching with a 15-year-old child.
According the Nemaha County Attorney Brad Lippert, a request by Gresham in June 2018 to have his bond reduced was denied. His bond remains set at $200,000.
This case was investigated by the Sabetha Police Department.
