James Jones, 29, of Onaga was arrested on April 6 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. He was released April 6 on a $3,250 surety bond. Court is set for May 4 at 9:30 a.m.
Heidi Jones, 41, of Morrill was released on April 7 on a $50,000 own recognizance bond. Court is set for May 6 at 10:15 a.m.
Brandon Davis, 19, of Humboldt, Neb., was arrested on April 7 by the Kansas Highway Patrol on charges of driving while suspended. He was released on the same day on a $250 cash bond. Court is set for April 13 at 9:30 a.m.
Jesse Davis, 33, of Sabetha was released on April 7 on a $100,000 surety bond. Court is set for April 19 at 10:30 a.m.
At 10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 1, Allison Hermesch, 40, of Seneca was traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 63, 0.4 mile west of First Road, when she struck a deer. Hermesch was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. More than $1,000 in damage was estimated.
At 12:29 p.m. Sunday, April 4, Rusty Kramer, 35, of Corning was traveling southbound on Q Road, 0.3 mile north of 144th Road, when he struck something in the roadway, causing his tire to fail. The tire failure caused Kramer’s vehicle to lose control and spin, striking a bridge and a barbed wire fence. Kramer was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. More than $1,000 in damage was estimated.
At 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, Michael Schmelzle, 61, of Seneca was traveling westbound on Kansas Highway 9, 0.2 mile west of T4 Road, when she struck a deer. Schmelzle was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Astro. More than $1,000 in damage was estimated.
