At 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Irvin Jessepe, 73, of Horton was southbound on Falcon Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a fence and then an embankment. Jessepe was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, a 2006 Chevy Pickup driven by Sarah Hoskins, 41, of Emmett was eastbound on U.S. Highway 36 when it left the roadway onto the shoulder. The vehicle then overcorrected and rolled into the grass median to the north of the eastbound off ramp. The driver was ejected during the roll. Hoskins was taken to the Hiawatha Community Hospital with suspected serious injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
