Raptors fall to Seneca
The Sabetha Raptors hosted Seneca at Somerset Park on Wednesday, July 14. In a game that featured a total of 26 hits, Seneca came out on top by a final score of 11-9.
The Raptors held a 3-2 lead after the first inning, but Seneca put up another nine runs through the course of the game to hold off the Raptors.
The Raptor hitting attack was led by Shane Frey, who went three for four at the plate with a team-leading four RBIs.
Josh Herrmann, Cooper Bradbury and Braden Argabright each had two hits a piece. Jonathan Renyer was one for three at the plate and knocked in three runs as well.
The American Legion Baseball Zone 1AA Tournament held at Somerset Park began Sunday, July 18. The Raptors faced Doniphan County in the first round of the tournament on Monday, July 19.
The Raptors were defeated, 6-2. Sabetha is now on the back side of the bracket. They faced Hiawatha Tuesday, July 20. Results of this game were not available at The Herald’s press time.
