Lady Jays compete at Marysville

On Thursday, Sept. 16, the Lady Jays traveled to Marysville to compete in a quad against Perry-Lecompton, the Marysville Black team and the Marysville Red team.

Overall, Sabetha placed third with nine points total. The Marysville Black team received first with 26 points, the Marysville Red team placed second with 20 points and Perry-Lecompton received fourth place with five points total.

Playing for the Jays were seniors Chloe Menold, Madison Menold, Sophia Meyer, Emma Schilling and Rachel Wertenberger; and junior Samantha Arnold.

Leading the Jays were Arnold and Wertenberger in number two doubles with two wins and one loss. In number one doubles, C. Menold and Schilling received one win and two losses. In number two singles, Meyer also received one win and two losses. In number one singles, M. Menold received no wins and three losses.

The Lady Jays played at home against Perry-Lecompton and Cornerstone on Monday, Sept. 20. These results were not available at The Herald’s press time.
