Bluejay harriers compete at Rim Rock

The Sabetha Bluejay harriers traveled to Rim Rock on Saturday, Sept. 25. The girls’ team placed ninth overall, while the boys placed 23rd.

Girls

There were 30 teams competing at the Rim Rock Invitational and the Sabetha girls placed ninth with a score of 288. The Lady Jays were led by junior Mary Lukert, who placed seventh overall. She was followed by sophomore Leah Lukert in 29th, freshman Laura Metzger in 68th, freshman Lauren Bowles in 89th, freshman Ellyannah Clinton in 178th, sophomore Emerson Montgomery in 208th and senior Jadyn Dorn in 216th.

Boys

There were 34 teams competing in the boys’ race and the Sabetha boys placed 23rd with a score of 558. The Bluejays were led by sophomore Kalvin Evans in 16th, senior Tyrese Bishop in 37th, freshman Caleb Renyer in 166th, senior Paul Pearson in 201st and Tabor Bachelor in 219th.

For their next meet, the Bluejays will travel to Horton on Thursday, Sept. 30.
