Cardinals fall to Wildcats, 52-6

The Wetmore Cardinals were looking to add a win to their record when they welcomed the Hanover Wildcats to town on Friday, Oct. 22.

Hanover came out strong in the first quarter, scoring 32 points on four touchdowns and point-after attempts. Wetmore managed to find the end zone once on a 31-yard pass from Dierk Hanzlicek to Kyler Wommack. The point-after attempt failed.

The Wildcats offense kept up their momentum and managed to score another three touchdowns ,and two of their point-after attempts failed.

Throughout the game, Wommack tallied three tackles, three catches for 56 yards and 12 rushes for 12 yards.

Hanzlicek tallied six tackles, one catch for five yards and 10 rushes for 14 yards.

The Cardinals will host Southern Cloud on Thursday, Oct. 28, for their final game of the season.
