Brian Voos receives KWCA award

Brian Voos of Sabetha was awarded the 2021 Team Support Personnel of the Year award by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association (KWCA). Along with the award, KWCA said Brian volunteers to provide sports medicine to all of Sabetha High School sports; as well as provides injury consultation, education and training services; communicates with coaches daily on the progress of student athletes’ recovery; and provides guidance to aid the wrestlers back into live wrestling after injuries. Brian also arrives before team departures to tape shoulders, elbows, knees an ankles.
“Brian was an instrumental part in getting and keeping our wrestlers healthy!” said Sabetha’s Head Wrestling Coach Ricky Creek. “He has been volunteering his time at Sabetha High for two years and helps with all sports in Sabetha – although he was awarded this for his work with the wrestling team. Brian goes above and beyond, taking calls from coaches throughout the evening and follows up with our coaches on the wrestler’s progress, in order to get them back into full speed.”
