The Sabetha Bluejay boys’ wrestling squad traveled to Rockport, Mo., on Thursday, Dec. 9, for double dual action with the Rockport Bluejays and the Auburn Bulldogs. 

The Jays dominated the competition defeating the Rockport Bluejays 68-6 and defeating the Bulldogs 64-12. The Jays recorded eleven wins by a fall on the evening and were led by sophomore 285-pound Josh Grimm who picked up two wins by a fall. 

“I know that I really need to step up this year,” Grimm said. “I dropped down from 300 pounds to make 285 and I have spent a lot of time in the weight room. That has enabled me to get bigger and stronger, and quicker on my feet. I feel like we have a really tough team this year and since we have only one senior on the team the juniors are doing a great job of leading us.”
