Sabetha Bravos seek sponsors, host families
The organization was founded in 2019, and after three seasons, more than 45 scholarships have been granted to players from the Sabetha Bravos, as well as having sent over 30 players to independent ball and pro leagues across Central and North America. The Sabetha Bravos also won the award for the “Organization Of The Year” in 2021 and had their first player drafted by MLB.
The Sabetha Bravos represent the community at a high level and help kids get into universities and professional leagues. Entertainment of the community during the summer it’s our primary goal. Therefore, they need help from the community to make this happen every year.
According to Edgar Santos – the Bravos Head Coach – the Bravos are looking for sponsors and host families. The team is affiliated with the Mid Plains League, which is a non-profit corporation, and companies will get a tax break as a result. As far as housing, Santos said “the guys just need a place to sleep and a kitchen.”
“We focus on advertising and mentioning our sponsors during the games, social media and our program,” Santos said. “The Bravos have the biggest social media in town with almost 30,000 followers, and people from different communities attend our summer games. Our latest innovation is the creation of Brave, the team mascot for 2022 that will bring more joy and entertainment to the Sabetha community. Consider joining us this summer and being a part of this fun project.”
