Varsity team takes first place at home






On Monday, April 11, the Sabetha Bluejay varsity team hosted an invitational where they competed against Hiawatha, Silver Lake, Seneca, Horton, Marysville, Holton and Maur Hill Academy.
The Jays received a score of 380, which placed them in first. Following Sabetha was Silver Lake in second with 396, Holton in third with 403, Seneca in fourth with 414, Maur Hill Academy in fifth with 441, Marysville in sixth with 459, Horton in seventh with 470 and Hiawatha in eighth with a score of 476.
Leading the Bluejays overall was sophomore Cullen Wikle in third place with 89 strokes. Following Wikle was sophomore Dalton Rokey in sixth place with a score of 96, senior Matthew Whittaker in seventh place with 97, freshman Roman Scoby in eighth place with 98, freshman Caleb Renyer in 11th place with 103 and sophomore Cole Grimes in 15th place with 105 strokes.
The Bluejays traveled to Hiawatha on Monday, April 18, to play in the Big 7 Quad. These results were not available at The Herald’s press time.
