Seniors awarded multiple scholarships at awards ceremony

The Sabetha High School class of 2022 celebrated numerous academic achievements in the form of honors and over $85,000 in scholarship awards on Friday, April 22. The event took place in the Sabetha High School varsity gym, and the seniors were joined by families, community members and very special guests who have a vested interest in the post-secondary goals of our youth. The following is a list of awards announced at the event:

Seniors receiving Academic Letter Awards are Mara Aberle, Hadley Argabright, John Barnes-Tijerina, Gavan Bergman, Megan Brockhoff, Campbell Brown, Madison Bulk, Pepijn Dingemanse, Jadyn Dorn, Kaden Edelman, Kendall Edelman, Kendrick Edelman, Simon Engelken, Rhiannon Hill, Griffen Huning, Emily Krebs, Sadie Krogmann, Pyper McGill, Teegan McPherson, Chloe Menold, Kellen Menold, Madison Menold, Thadd Menold, Kinzey Meyer, Sophia Meyer, Kennedy Mitchell, Beritny Mortorff, Paul Pearson, Emma Popkess, Olivia Saner, Emma Schilling, Desjha Shasteen, Kylie Shelly, John Streett, Rachel Wertenberger, Gavin White, Matthew Whittaker, Tristan Wittwer and Adrian Zahner.

Sadie Krogmann was named the Governor’s Scholar Awardee, as well as the All State Academic Nominee.

Seniors recognized as Kansas Scholars Curriculum Completers were Mara Aberle, Kaden Edelman, Kendall Edelman, Kendrick Edelman, Emily Krebs, Sadie Krogmann, Kinzey Meyer, Kennedy Mitchell, Emma Schilling, John Streett and Matthew Whittaker.

Recipients of the President’s Award For Educational Excellence were Mara Aberle, Kendall Edelman, Emily Krebs, Madison Menold, Emma Schilling, John Streett and Matthew Whittaker.

Students receiving Distinguished Service Program Honors were Emily Krebs, Sadie Krogmann, Kennedy Mitchell, Emma Popkess, Emma Schilling, John Streett, Rachel Wertenberger and Tristan Wittwer.

Numerous institutional scholarships also were awarded to Sabetha High School class of 2022 members.
