Brown County Commission 4.29.2022

The Board of Brown County Commissioners met in regular session on Friday, April 29, with the following members present: Chairman Lamar Shoemaker, William Pollock and Richard Lehmkuhl. Also present was Brown County Deputy Clerk Barbara Grabhorn. Lamar Shoemaker opened the meeting at 8:10 a.m. All recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Lehmkuhl led the meeting with a prayer.
Jeff Nelson with Globe Life Liberty Insurance Representative discussed with the board the services his company has to offer.
Brown County Road and Bridge Secretary Tami Lehmkuhl informed the commissioners on Southern Star job site at 270th and Dewberry.
Commissioner Pollock discussed election concerns.

The April 29 month-end claims were approved as follows: General, $82,028.45; Road and Bridge, $115,125.05; Historical Society, $4,583.33; Employee Benefit, $79,731.84; Election, $281.67; Extension Council, $8,750; Mental Health, $7,442.91; Developmental Services, $2,254.33; Capital Improvement, $41,244; Appraiser, $406.49; Ambulance, $25,000; Noxious Weed, $15,794.55; Alcohol, $3,566.13; ACC, $2,185.16; JJA CORE, $3,597.19; Reinvestment Grant, $202.98; Services for Elderly, $2,852.16; Solid Waste, $62,552.36; and Payroll, $80.09. The total was $457,678.69.
The commissioners approved accounts payable.
The board approved the April 25 meeting minutes.
The next regular meeting was held Monday, May 2. These minutes were not available at The Herald’s press time.
