Get ready for garage sales

Mark your calendars for Sabetha’s spring citywide garage sales event scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 10-11. Some vendors may opt to open up Thursday, June 19. Bargain hunters can expect 40-plus sales locations around Sabetha.

This event provides residents an excellent opportunity to clear out functional items they no longer need and earn some extra money by selling to others who can use them.

Anyone interested in holding a garage sale may register with a 15-word description and $10 fee. All listings will be compiled on a printed city map for shoppers. Registration fees are used to produce map and promote the event in newspapers, radio and online.

Sale registration forms can be found online at www.sabethachamber.com, or a form may be picked up at City Hall/chamber office.

Deadline to register is 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 1. Place completed registrations and fees in the locked drop box inside City Hall. Do not use the outside alley drop box intended for utility payments only.

An online citywide sales map/listing will be posted by June 8 on Facebook and at www.sabethachamber.com for you to print out an early copy.

On sale days, a limited number of paper maps will be available at Casey’s General Store, Downtown Coffee Co., Garrett Country Mart and Ampride.

For more information or questions, contact Melissa Dornes at 785-249-2614 or Susan Emert at 785-284-3292, or visit www.sabethachamber.com.

Good community participation guarantees the continued success of this annual garage sale event!
