Jail Booking/Release

Akasha Moyer, 29, of Bern was arrested on April 22 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office (NMSO) on a Sabetha Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Moyer was released on the same day on a $115 cash bond. Court is set for May 19 at 4 p.m.

Steven Chadwick, 51, of Springfield, Mo., was arrested on April 23 by NMSO on a Brown County warrant for failure to appear. He was released on the same day on a $500 cash bond. Court is set for May 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Michael Vogel, 32, of Sabetha was released to the custody of Jackson County on April 25.

Sabrina D. Leishing was released on April 26 on a $2,500 own recognizance (OR) bond on Nemaha County charges with a court date of 11 a.m. on May 26 and on a $175 OR bond on Seneca Municipal charges with a court date of May 18 at 4 p.m.

Andrew W. Davis was released on April 27 on a court ordered furlough.

Crash Reports

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, an unknown person backed from a private drive, approximately 1/4 mile west of M Road on 132nd Road, and struck the mailbox across the road. Damage was estimated at less than $1,000.

Incident Responses

Sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, an unknown person damaged a speed bump at the Centralia Lake. Approximately $205 in damage was caused.
