SCH announces new Chief Operating Officer
Sabetha Community Hospital (SCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Garrett Colglazier as Chief Operating Officer.
“This is a newly formed position within our system, and I am excited to work alongside of Garrett and see how he grows and develops our organization,” said SCH CEO, Dr. James Longabaugh.
Colglazier is a 2015 graduate of the University of St. Mary where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management. During college, Colglazier worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an Abstract Specialist. Following graduation, Colglazier became the Health Information Management Director at Sabetha Community Hospital.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Colglazier will be responsible for assisting in strategic planning, reviewing and approving expenditures, participation in quality assurance and risk management, assisting in recruitment and retention of staff, as well as professional development of staff, just to name a few.
“Over the last seven years at SCH, the Department Heads have been very supportive and helpful as we have worked together,” Colglazier said about the change in role. “I look forward to working more closely with them to help them achieve their departmental goals and overall becoming a bigger part of SCH.”
Garrett grew up in Scranton, Kan., but now he and his wife, Jessica, reside in Holton, with their two little boys, Bennett (age 2) and Callahan (9 months). Outside of work, Colglazier enjoys spending time with family, hunting, playing Chess and playing his guitar.
