On Monday, May 16, the Sabetha Bluejays traveled to Jefferson West to compete in the 3A Boys Regional Golf Meet. Sabetha played against Rossville, Olathe-Heritage Christian Academy, Marysville, Seneca-Nemaha Central, Silver Lake and Meriden-Jefferson West.

The Bluejays took fourth place overall with a score of 380. Taking first place was Heritage Christian Academy with a score of 329, Nemaha Central took second with 376, Jefferson West took third with 378, Rossville took fifth with 414, Marysville took sixth with 415 and Silver Lake took seventh with 418.

Leading the Jays were sophomore Dalton Rokey and freshman Roman Scoby with a score of 92. Following them was senior Matthew Whittaker tied in 14th place with a score of 96, sophomores Cole Grimes and Cullen Wikle tied for 20th with 100, and freshman Caleb Renyer took 35th place with a score of 115.

Earning a qualifying score, Rokey and Scoby will compete in the 3A Boys State Golf Tournament on Monday, May 23, in Salina.
