Students receive scholarships

The week of May 9 included several milestones for the Wetmore High School class of 2022. Of these, the awards banquet and graduation were highlights, most especially in the area of scholarships. Faculty, families, community members and very special guests joined together in the awarding of the following scholarships:
American Red Cross Scholarship: Eric Bloom and Taylor Fillmore;
Melba and Clarence Ash Family Scholarship: Taylor Fillmore;
Cardinal Booster Club Scholarship: Eric Bloom, Taylor Fillmore and Kenzie Strathman;

“Giving Back” Scholarship: Eric Bloom;
Donald Kramer Family Memorial Scholarship: Eric Bloom, Braden Henry and Kenzie Strathman;

Mighty Molly Scholarship: Makayla Mock;
Dennis Pugh Scholarship: Eric Bloom;
Rieschick Fencing Scholarship: Braden Henry;
Wetmore Alumni Association Scholarship: Eric Bloom;
Wetmore American Legion & Auxiliary Scholarship: Eric Bloom, Taylor Fillmore, Braden Henry, Makayla Mock and Kenzie Strathman;
Wetmore Faculty Scholarship: Kenzie Strathman;
Wetmore Lions Club Scholarship: Taylor Fillmore;
Wetmore Redneck Games Scholarship: Eric Bloom;

Gary and Virginia McDaniel Scholarship: Makayla Mock.
Several institutional scholarships and various achievement awards also were earned by 2022 WHS graduates. The senior class certainly experienced the generosity and support of many individuals throughout their education and most recently in the scholarship/awards process.
