905 On Main opens this weekend

Cory and Connie Joy are the new owners of 905 on Main.

Calling all Sabetha Bluejay fans! Under the new ownership of Cory and Connie Joy, 905 On Main will be opening this weekend and will begin to have more consistent hours.

The Bluejay merchandise business was previously run by Nikki McAfee.

“She did a great job running the business previously and has been helpful to us in this transition,” Cory said.

However, Cory said the decision to own and operate their own business wasn’t decided easily, but their faith guided their decision.

“The offer or idea was run by us probably a year ago, but we didn’t think it was the right time to pull the trigger,” Cory said. “It came up again this year, and after some more thought and prayer we felt a peace to go for it!”

Cory also said his family is excited to serve the community with Sabetha Bluejay merchandise.

“The idea of being able to serve the community with Sabetha Bluejay merchandise seemed like a great opportunity to give people in the community a chance to show their Bluejay pride,” Cory said. “We aren’t necessarily entrepreneurs, but thought this would be a great experience for us and our children. But most importantly, we are a family of faith and wanted to be obedient to what God is telling us to do.”

Cory said a wide variety of items will be available to purchase including t-shirts, hats, polos, sunglasses, drink tumblers, shorts, jogger sweatpants and more.

“We also have some of the older items that we will sell at a discounted rate,” Cory said. “Nikki McAfee will also have PE uniforms here for purchase for those who didn’t get a chance to order or need extra.”

905 On Main’s grand opening will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, May 28 – alumni weekend.

“To go along with all our products, we have Mr. Bluejay himself to give high hives and take pictures and fresh popcorn sponsored by SBS Insurance,” Cory said.

As for regular business hours, 905 On Main will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with other pop-up openings to be announced in the future.
