The Woodlawn Meadowlarks 4-H Club May meeting was moved to Saturday, April 30, so that the club members could make May Day flowers for local friends and family.

The meeting was called to order at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Public Library in Sabetha by junior president Ellie Wessel. The Pledge of Allegiance and flag salute were led by Colby Stoller. Then, the club sang Mary Had a Little Lamb, led by Gage Brumback. Roll call was, “What is your favorite animal?”

During the meeting, the club made plans to go to Skyzone in Topeka for the June recreation month meeting. This was followed by project talks by Ella Sourk and Brumback. Sourk talked about the difference between fashion and style. Brumback did his on how he cares for his lambs he is raising for the fair. Cecelia Becker helped the club play Heads Up 7-Up for recreation.

After the meeting was adjourned, snacks were provided by the Wessels and Goodmans, and the club made May Day Flowers. The flowers were made by putting pansies in pots wrapped with colored tissue paper, then putting a tulip shaped card holder on it, with a card from the 4-H Club.

The next monthly meeting will be held June 8, at Skyzone in Topeka, followed by going to a park for the meeting and pizza afterward.
