Bravos fall to Travelers

After defeating the Travelers the night prior, the Sabetha Bravos were looking to add another win to their record on Tuesday, June 7, in Big Springs. However, the Travelers took an early lead and never let it go. They would eventually win, 12-2.

Lawrence scored two runs in the first inning, one in the second, four in the fourth and five in the fifth. They managed to hold Sabetha scoreless until the sixth inning, when they finally scored two runs.

Sabetha collected seven hits during the game, while the Travlers had eight. Jose Fernandez led Sabetha going two for three at the plate and tallying one RBI. Jesus Espinoza also went two for three at the plate.

Starting on the mound for the Bravos was Starlyn Cordera, who pitched the first three innings. He allowed five runs on four hits, while striking out one batter and walking four.

Carlos Trinidad came in on relief. He surrendered six runs on three hits, while striking out one batter and walking three.

Anthony Rebolledo pitched the final inning for Sabetha. He allowed one run on one hit, while striking out one batter and walking two.
