The Sabetha Bravos hosted the Lawrence Travelers on Friday, June 24, at Somerset Park. After a full nine innings, the Bravos came away with the 5-2 win.

The Bravos scored the first run of the game in the first inning, and added another run in the third and one more in the fourth. The Bravos held Lawrence’s offense until the sixth inning when they finally scored one run. The Travelers added another run in the seventh, but the Bravos came back to add another two and claim the 5-2 win.

Rommel Perez led the Bravos at the plate, going two for three with two runs scored, and tallying one RBI. Lei Rivero also went two for four at the plate during the win.

Carlos Lopez started on the mound for the Bravos, throwing the first two innings. He allowed one run on two hits, while striking out seven batters and walking four. Mario Franco came in on relief, pitching the final three innings. He allowed one run on one hit, while striking out five batters and walking one.
