Bravos fall to Blues, 2-1

After falling to the Blues in extra innings the night before, the Bravos were looking to add a win to their record when they welcomed Baldwin City to town on Saturday, July 2.

Once again, the Bravos got on the board first with one run scored in the first inning. The Blues came back to take over the lead in the second when they scored two runs. Both teams stepped up their defense for the remainder of the game, therefore, the remaining innings were scoreless. The Blues would take the 2-1 win after nine innings.

Rommel Perez went two for four at the plate, scoring one run. Also collecting hits were Ryonosuke Nosaka, Enrique Marrero and Ricky De Asis.

Brandon Coronado started on the mound for the first 7-2/3 innings. He allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out five batters and walking two.

Osvaldo Beltre threw the final 1-1/3 innings. He allowed zero runs on zero hits, while striking out three batters.
