After going 1-1 with the Topeka Farmers a few nights prior, the Bravos were looking to add another win to their record when they welcomed the Baldwin City Blues to town on Thursday, June 30. After 8-1/2 innings, the Bravos would come away with the 7-5 win.

Sabetha came on the board first with one run scored in the first inning and two runs in the second inning. They managed to fend off the Blues until the fourth when they finally scored their first run. The eighth inning was neck and neck with both teams scoring four runs each. When the Blues couldn’t score in the top of the ninth, the Bravos would take the 7-5 win.

Henrique Marrero led the Bravos at the plate, going three for three with two runs scored. Jesus Espinoza also went two for four at the plate, which included two doubles. Espinoza also scored one run and drove in one RBI. Jansel Jimenez went two for three at the plate with one run scored and three RBIs.

Bryan Luna started on the mound for Sabetha. He threw the first three innings and allowed zero runs on two hits, while striking out one batter and walking zero. Mario Franco threw the next 4-1/3 innings. He allowed five runs on seven hits, while striking out five batters and walking four. Fernando Falero closed out the game for Sabetha throwing the remaining 1-2/3 innings. He allowed zero runs on one hit, while striking out four batters and walking one.
