Grain stocks in Kansas are reported for June

Kansas corn stocks in all positions on June 1 totaled 182 million bushels, down 10 percent from 2021, according to the USDA’s National

Agricultural Statistics Service. Of the total, 48.0 million bushels are stored on farms, up four percent from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 134 million bushels, are down 14 percent from last year.

Wheat stored in all positions totaled 170 million bushels, down 20 percent from a year ago. On-farm stocks of 3.50 million bushels are unchanged from 2021, but off-farm stocks of 167 million bushels are down 20 percent from last year.

Sorghum stored in all positions totaled 85.9 million bushels, up 270 percent from 2021. On-farm stocks of 2.45 million bushels are up 96 percent from a year ago, and off-farm stocks of 83.5 million bushels are up 280 percent from last year.

Soybeans stored in all positions totaled 43.1 million bushels, up 10 percent from last year. On-farm stocks of 10.5 million bushels are up 35 percent from a year ago, and off-farm stocks, at 32.6 million bushels, are up four percent from 2021.

Off-farm oat stocks totaled 193,000 bushels, up four percent from 2021.
