Sabetha FFA members attend State Convention
Submitted by Laura Metzger
The Kansas State FFA Convention was held at the K-State campus in Manhattan on June 1-3. Eight members of the Sabetha FFA Chapter attended the convention. Megan Brockhoff and Kendrick Edelman both received their state degrees during the convention, and Brockhoff also played in the State Band.
This was a new experience for most of the students, as the past two years were held virtually. Some of the highlights included attending several sessions and listening to the guest speakers. We were Courtesy Corps at the seventh session and helped watch the doors and clean up the auditorium afterwards.
Some other activities included attending a leadership workshop and a career fair. We also spent part of an afternoon at Pillsbury Crossing, which is a natural river crossing near Manhattan. It was enjoyable to walk around the campus and to be with FFA members from all over the state of Kansas.
