Local music artists headline event

The Greater Sabetha Community Foundation (GSCF) is sponsoring their second annual “Summer In the Library Park” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, in order to thank the local communities for their support. This event is free to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.

The theme for this year’s festivities will be “Greater Sabetha Community’s Got Talent,” fashioned after the TV show “America’s Got Talent,” starring Cory Joy as Simon Cowell, Amy Mitchell as Heidi Klum, Brett Lukert as Howie Mandel and Amber Bletscher as Sofia Vergara.

Because this year is the first round, each entertainment act will receive the “Golden Bell,” making them immediately eligible for next year’s annual event. The emcee will be Marvin Kohlmeier as Terry Crews. The GSCF tried to include performers from many of the local and surrounding communities.

A schedule of the evening and performances is as follows:

5 p.m.: Welcome – introduction of judges, announcement music genres with names, location and names of food trucks and/or stands, KNZA – Spin the Wheel, opportunities to win prizes throughout the night (Sabetha Chamber of Commerce – GSCF);
