Morrill Days Celebration to take place August 13-14

The annual Morrill Days celebration will be taking place this weekend Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13 and 14.
On Saturday, a tractor cruise and show will be held. Registration will be from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the city park. The cruise will leave the park at 9 a.m. and return around noon, and the tractors will be on display in the park until parade time. Trailer parking will be available at Morrill Elevator, and the entry fee is $20. Call or text Stuart for more information at 785-285-1931.
Throughout Saturday morning, there will be many activities in the park. Crafters will be displaying their creations, a petting zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids games will take place at 11 a.m. and the 4-H food stand will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will also be soft serve ice cream and funnel cakes served by the Grimm Girls.
At 2 p.m., the annual parade will take place in downtown. Following the parade, a cornhole tournament will be held northeast of the ball diamond. There is a $30 entry fee per team and prizes will be awarded. Pre-register by calling or texting Malerie at 316-217-2950.
On Sunday, a community church service will be held in the Community Center at 10:30 a.m.
A co-ed softball tournament will be held throughout the weekend. Food will be available.
