Clements family purchases local welding company

Rory and Remington Clements have purchased Rahe’s Welding, and have changed the name to Clements Welding and Supply LLC.

Rahe’s Welding owners — Bill and Traci Rahe — decided after 27 years in business, it was time to retire and sell the company. When the business went up for sale, Rory and Remington Clements of Morrill saw purchasing the business as an opportunity they couldn’t pass up and finalized the purchase of Rahe’s Welding on Thursday, Sept 1.

“We saw it [purchasing the business] as a good opportunity to become self-employed and service the local communities, including the agriculture and industrial businesses,” Rory and Remington said. “We look forward to operating the family-owned business and servicing the surrounding communities.”

After purchasing the business, the Clementses decided to change the name of the business to Clements Welding and Supply LLC. However, while the name has changed, the services haven’t.

According to the Clementses, the business will still offer axles, batteries, bed frames, bedliners featuring QuickSilver and Durapro, fabrications, hydraulic hoses, minimizer fenders and products, general repairs, Harsh Truck Hoists, tarp and tarp systems featuring Sioux City Tarp and Shurloc tarps, metal sales, plasma cutting, tires, and welding supplies.

Clements Welding and Supply LLC is located at 96 Virginia Street in Morrill. They are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.

The Rahes said they appreciate their customers over the past 27 years.

“We’re excited for the Clements family to take over Rahe’s Welding,” Bill and Traci said. “Many new exciting changes are coming. We are looking forward to our retirement, and the next chapter in our life.”
