Come enjoy the fun on Main Street
Gather your family and your lawn chairs for an evening full of fun at Old Time Saturday Night hosted by the Sabetha Chamber of Commerce. The event, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, will take place on Main Street.
With the event being held on Main Street, many businesses will be open and offering specials in addition to the many Old Time Saturday Night activities, food options, entertainment and vendors.
The band, True North, will play from 6 to 8 p.m. Multiple activities also are planned for the night including Sabetha Chamber Bingo in the Ed Garber VFW Building, free games for the kids by the VFW Auxiliary, Buzz Café will have a fishing game and balloon dart game, decorate a pumpkin with Sabetha Greenhouse on Main Street, and do a fun art project at the Art Studio.
Other activities include a book signing by local author Josh Payne, face painting by the Sabetha High School (SHS) Cheerleaders, Balloon Twisters from Holton, petting zoo, the Methodist Church will have a quilt raffle and bake sale, and a basket raffle held by the Sabetha Hospital Guild.
Touch-a-Truck, presented by Sabetha Emergency Services, will be located on 1000 block of Main Street. Vehicles include emergency responder vehicles, construction equipment, city service vehicles and more.
There also will be plenty of food options available including Manny’s Tacos; brats and sauerkraut, by Albany Society; Sabetha BBQ at the Community Building; pulled pork, brats and chips served by the VFW; Angie Bellis funnel cakes; root beer floats by the Boy Scouts; and kettle corn and apple cider by the SHS Cheerleaders.
There also will be multiple businesses open on Main Street and in the vicinity with specials including Sabetha Health Mart, 905 On Main, Hattie Ann’s Attic and Joy Pop Print Shop.
