The Sabetha Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that they are participating in activities for National Manufacturing Day Event this year on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Manufacturing Day is an industry event sponsored by the manufacturing institute designed to introduce students to career paths in manufacturing and related industries. It also raises awareness of the contributions manufacturers’ make to our economy.

“This year, the Sabetha Chamber is sponsoring a Manufacturing Day Event on Wednesday, Oct. 5,” said Sabetha Chamber Director Gina Murchison. “The Sabetha Chamber’s plans for the day include hosting activities at the Main Event. We will be inviting high school juniors and seniors from area high schools along with colleges and technical schools in the region. We plan to set the Main Event up ‘Job Fair’ style with tables for companies, technical schools and universities.”

Other activities include plant tours and demonstrations to give the students a great look into what a career path with manufacturing would entail.
