Busy Jayhawkers

The Busy Jayhawker officers and pledge leaders recite the pledge of allegiance during their 4-H club meeting on Monday, August 22.

On Monday, Aug. 22, the Busy Jayhawkers 4-H Club held their monthly meeting. The theme for the night’s meeting was “wear your favorite hat.” Aiden Lierz and Harper Jackman were the agenda distributors. Pledge leaders were Benjamin Schultejans and Dean Farwell. Brecken Edelman filled in for Kendrick Edelman as president for the evening. Roll call was “who my teacher/advisory teacher is.” Darcie Jackman was in charge of Clover Buds for the meeting.

Laura Edelman read the minutes of the previous meeting, Trinity Detweiler gave a treasurer’s report, and Aiden Lang gave a reporter’s report. The food pantry collection item was personal care items. Tristan Schmid filled in for Kendall Edelman as vice president for the meeting and led the program.

Reid Plattner, Melanie Schremmer, Josiah Richardson, Lillian Woolfolk and Kendall Edelman all had August birthdays. B. Edelman gave a demonstration on CPR. Haidyn Jackman, Kenton Farwell and Avery Herrmann gave a project talk/reading/or show and tell. Par-Law was given by Isaac Schmid in the form of a musical chairs quiz bowl, and the song was led by Jyllian Stapleton.

The Michael Edelman family led recreation and Dustin Dettwyler/Nick Richardson families were the hosts. The next meeting for the Busy Jayhawkers was held on Monday, Sept. 26, at the Sabetha Community Building.
