The Board of Brown County Commissioners met in regular session Friday, Sept. 30, with the following members present: Chairman Lamar Shoemaker via Zoom, William Pollock and Richard Lehmkuhl. Also present was Brown County Clerk Dawn Boyles. County Attorney Kevin Hill was present for a portion of the meeting. Lehmkuhl opened the meeting at 8:10 a.m. All recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Lehmkuhl led the meeting with a prayer.
The commissioners decided to table the approval of the Sept. 26 meeting minutes until Monday, Oct. 3, for clarification on the purchase of the backhoe for Solid Waste.
The Sept. 30 claims were approved as follows: General, $104,010.56; Road & Bridge, $32,107.37; Historical Society, $4,583.33; Employee Benefit, $74,584.29; Election, $4,128.25; Extension Council, $8,750; Mental Health, $7,442.91; Developmental Services, $2,254.33; Capital Improvement, $11,948.74; Conservation, $7,125; Appraiser, $349.20; Ambulance, $25,000; Noxious Weed, $118.52; Diversion, $630.25; ACC, $3,212.88; JJA CORE, $6,010.59; Reinvestment Grant, $96.11; Services for Elderly, $779.94; Solid Waste, $73,539.11; Payroll, $80.09; and Prosecuting Atty. Training, $125. The total was $366,876.47.
The next regular meeting was held Monday, Oct. 3. These minutes were not available at The Herald’s press time.
