Corning resident Marshall Tanking was recently awarded a Kansas Promise Scholarship by Washburn University Institute of Technology.  

Tanking is a student in the electrical technology program at Washburn Tech.

The Promise Scholarship is awarded to qualified post-secondary students who enroll and complete a certificate or two-year program in a specific career and technical education field.

Selection for a scholarship is based on academic performance, attendance and instructor recommendations.
