Fulkerson competes at State

Athletes and fans had excellent conditions at the State cross country meet Saturday, Oct. 29, at Wamego, where the best athletes from around the state came to compete. Wamego hosted the 1A, 2A and 4A State championship at the Wamego Country Club. Freshman Kristopher Fulkerson represented the Cardinal Nation on the high school cross country’s grandest stage at the meet.
Fulkerson ran a strong race in his finale of the season and completed the course in 38th place in a field of 94 athletes, with a time of 19 minutes, 21.95 seconds.
“I was very proud of him,” said Head Coach Seth Stiers. “He did a great job for his freshman year and I thought he did great against the tough competition at State.”
