To Shannon Stapleton’s response to ‘Conjectures About Wind Energy’
I welcome other people’s opinions and perspectives when they are presented appropriately and are based on factual information. It is one thing to give feedback or reply to an article, often with a very different position or belief. After all, that is the purpose of “Letters to the Editor.” It is another thing to confront an individual based upon their article or work and criticize them on a personal level. We have never even met. Spp.org shows the current energy generation mix on the landing page. There is no rabbit hole and it takes less than a minute to access the information. The jobs created by wind energy projects are real. The jobs are filled by people in the community. You need to look no further than the Soldier Creek project in Southern Nemaha County. The people employed there consist of local residents, some of whom went to school for renewable energy because of the opportunities the project created. I encourage people to continue to reach out to me with any questions. My number is 402 490-6270. I am always available to meet in person or to talk on the phone.
