Sabetha Fire Department 11.20.2022

At 4:12 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, the Sabetha Fire Department (SFD) was called out to the Ryan Edelman farm at 160th and W Road for  an ice rescue. A cow had fallen through the ice into a farm pond and SFD assisted Edelman in getting the cow out by securing a rope to the cow and pulling it to safety. The SFD was back at the barn at 5:06 p.m.

At 5:53 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, the SFD responded to an auto aid call for a vehicle fire at mile marker 217 on U.S. Highway 75, one mile north of Fairview. Upon arrival, the car owned by Maria Ybarra of Fairview was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries. SFD was back at the barn at 6:55 p.m.
