Britney Thomas, 31, of Horton was arrested on Jan. 16 by Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office (NMSO) on charges of domestic battery. Thomas was released on $1,000 bond on Jan. 18 with a court date of Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Cristian Gonzalez was released on $5,250 cash bond on Jan. 17 with a court date of Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
Ryan A. Lucas, 38, of Sabetha was arrested on Jan. 17 by Sabetha Police Department for the offense of violation of a protection order. He remains in custody with bond set at $2,500.
Crash Reports
At 6:58 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, Alyssa D. Johnson, 29, of Seneca was traveling westbound on Kansas Highway 9, just east of Y Road, when she struck a deer. She was driving a 2010 Kia. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
At 6:17 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, Holly C. Haufler, 54, of Centralia was traveling southbound on Kansas Highway 63, just north of Seventh Street in Corning, when she left the roadway due to the icy slush and struck a wooden fence and power pole. She was driving a 1995 Buick LeSabre. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
Incident Responses
NMSO responded to 321 Sixth Street in Wetmore on Jan. 17 to take a report of criminal damage to property. Sometime between Jan. 15 and Jan. 17, an unknown person drove a vehicle onto the Wetmore school’s track, causing approximately $100 in damage.
