Veterans PACT Act meeting scheduled
All veterans are invited and encouraged to attend the PACT Act briefing to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at the Main Event Center in Sabetha. The meeting will include a briefing and Q&A session, as well as time for enrollment, claims and screenings.
Information that will be provided on March 11 includes health care eligibility and enrollment, disability claims, information about toxic exposures, and presumptive conditions.
According to the Veterans Affairs (VA) website, the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. It also extends VA health care eligibility for Vietnam, Gulf War and Post 9/11 veterans. This law helps to provide veterans with the care and benefits they earned and truly deserve.
