Accidents

On April 13, the Sabetha Police Department (SPD) responded to a two-vehicle accident at Main Street and Old Highway 75. The accident involved two juveniles, one operating a 1995 Mazda Miata and the other a 2015 Ford F150. Seatbelts were said to have been in use at the time. One individual was transported to the hospital by private vehicle, and one vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

On April 14, the SPD responded to a one-vehicle accident on Murdock near the intersection of Old Highway 246. Ryan Weishaar was operating a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle and not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Weishaar was transported by EMS to the hospital.

On April 15, the SPD responded to a two-vehicle accident 100 block of North 13th. Randy Garcia was operating a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when they struck an unattended 2013 Chrysler. There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident.

On April 21, the SPD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 900 block of Main Street. Joann Meyer was operating a 2017 Ford Edge when they struck an unattended 2007 GMC. There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident.

On April 24, the SPD responded to a two-vehicle accident reported on private property. Damage was minor and there were no injuries.

On April 26, the SPD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 700 block of Main Street. Keith Russel was operating a 2001 Peterbilt when they struck an unattended 2013 Chevrolet Camaro. There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident.

On May 2, the SPD responded to a two-vehicle accident reported on private property. Damage was minor and there were no injuries.

New Cases and Incidents Reported

On March 23, the SPD arrested Carol Nguyen for driving under the influence. Nguyen was transported and booked into the Nemaha County jail.

On March 24, the SPD responded to a battery report in the 600 block of Oregon. Charges are pending as a result of the investigation.

On March 25, the SPD arrested Faigu Nawid on a Nemaha County district warrant.

On March 27, the SPD arrested Nikolas Blaske for driving under the influence. Blaske was transported and booked into the Nemaha County jail.

On March 28, the SPD took a report of criminal damage to property in the 700 block of Blue Jay Boulevard.

On March 30, the SPD took a report of theft in the 400 block of North 14th.

On March 30, the SPD took a report of  theft in the 1200 block of South Old Highway 75. Charges are pending as a result of the investigation.

On April 2, the SPD took a report of theft/scam in the 100 block of North Fourth.

On April 3, the SPD took a report of theft/scam in the 100 block of South Second.

On April 7, the SPD took a report of possession of marijuana, paraphernalia in the 300 block of South 14th. A search warrant was served on a residence and charges are pending as result of the investigation.

On April 9, the SPD took a report of minor in possession/consumption at the Old Sabetha Lake. Officers cited several minors for minor consumption and the minors were released to their parents.

On April 14, the SPD took a report of theft/scam in the 900 block of Oregon.

On April 15, the SPD arrested Aaron Pickens for possession of stolen property. Pickens was transported and booked into the Nemaha County jail.

On April 16, the SPD arrested Shane Meyer for disorderly conduct (2). Meyer was transported and booked into the Nemaha County jail.

On April 18, the SPD took a report of battery reported at the Old Sabetha Lake. Charges are pending as a result of the investigation.

On April 26, the SPD arrested Joshua Reynolds for domestic battery and criminal trespass. Reynolds was transported and booked into the Nemaha County Jail.

On April 30, the SPD took a report of battery in the 200 block of North First Street. Two juveniles were involved and charges are pending as a result of the investigation.

On April 30, the SPD took a report of battery, criminal damage in the 300 block of South Fifth Street. Charges are pending as a result of the investigation.
