Kansas milk production reported

As of May 19, milk production in Kansas during April 2023 totaled 360 million pounds, up five percent from April 2022, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The average number of milk cows was 180,000 head, 9,000 head more than April 2022. Milk production per cow averaged 2,000 pounds.
