Blake Westcott, 27, of Falls City, Neb., was arrested on Sept. 8 by the Sabetha Police Department (PD) on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. Westcott remains in custody. Bond is set at $10,000 cash/surety.
Tyler Russell, 28, of Sabetha was arrested on Sept. 9 by Sabetha PD on charges of domestic battery. He was released on the same day on a $1,000 bond. Court is set for Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.
Caelie Russell, 26, of Sabetha was arrested on Sept. 9 by Sabetha PD on charges of domestic battery. Russell was released on the same day on a $1,000 bond. Court is set for Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.
Derrick Wichman, 40, of Hiawatha was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on Sept. 11 on a Nemaha County warrant for indecent liberties. Wichman remains in custody. Bond is set at $100,000 cash/surety.
Dustin Barrett, 35, of Oneida was arrested on Sept. 12 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office (NMSO) on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. Barrett remains in custody. Bond is set at $1,000 cash/surety.
Crash Reports
At 7:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, Shania Schraad, 24, of Seneca was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 36, 0.5 mile east of U Road, when she struck a deer. Schraad was driving a 2020 Ford Edge. More than $1,000 in damage was estimated.
At 5:11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, a pilot car driven by Cary Lawrence II, 51, of Marysville was traveling northbound on Kansas Highway 187, 207.5 feet south of 96th Road through the construction zone, when the driver struck a skid loader occupied by Sarbia Eleuterio, 33, of Marysville. Lawrence II was driving a 2013 Ford Focus. Eleuterio was in a Kubota Skid Steer.
Incident Responses
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, NMSO took a theft report from 5301 Ball Park Road in Goff. The individual was involved in a computer scam in regards to trading baseball cards. Approximate loss was estimated at $10,000.
