Annual event scheduled
For six days, the Sabetha community has an opportunity to give to local non-profits that uphold the community. The Eighth Annual Give to Grow Match Day exists to encourage people to give to their favorite local charitable causes. These 63 local organizations support our people, programs, places and even our pets!
In-person donating begins at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at The Main Event located at 16 Main Street in Sabetha. Donations also will be accepted online or at various locations around town Friday, Nov. 17, through Wednesday, Nov. 22.
This year, over $130,000 in matching funds are available for all non-profit funds, and total donations to each fund will be prorated — up to $5,000 — to determine their percent of total challenge bonus. Match Fund donors include Ray and Jeannie Bachelor, Kent and Donna Saylor, Anonymous, Paul and Betsy Tedman, Gary and Leslie Scoby, Wenger Manufacturing, Community National Bank, Ag Partners Coop, Edelman’s Home Center, Grimm’s Gardens, NutraDrip Irrigation Systems, Rainbow Communications, Bank of Blue Valley, Simpson Chiropractic, Lukert Chiropractic & Wellness, and the Greater Sabetha Community Foundation (GSCF) group.
Following the Give to Grow event, the GSCF will be at the Window Opening on Friday, Nov. 24, to share the success of Give to Grow and will accept donations that night. Come and enjoy treats and pick up an invitation to the Community Celebration Gala, which will be held in January 2024.
