Seniors present during first-ever signing celebration

At 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 53 Sabetha High School (SHS) seniors presented their post-secondary plans during the high school’s first-ever Senior Signing Celebration in the SHS varsity gymnasium.

Following are the seniors and their future commitments:

• Victoria Bachtold, Kansas State University, major in Human Development and Family Science;

• Joshua Banfield, plans to get a welding job around Sabetha;

• Marcus Bauman, play basketball at Manhattan Christian College, major in Athletic Training at Kansas State University;

• Avery Baumgartner, Peru State College, major in Art Education;

• Easton Bradbury, plans to go into the workforce, interested in Masonry;

• Dade Daily, plans to weld for Schenck Process LLC;

• Camryn Duryea, University of Kansas, major in Psychology;

• Laura Edelman, Kansas State University, major in Psychology;

• Jacob Enneking, Emporia State University, study Speech and Theater Education;

• Kalvin Evans, Benedictine College, undecided on major;

• Remington Frank, undecided on school, major in Cosmetology;

• Chase Frey, Peru State College, plans to play football, study Wildlife Ecology;

• Damian Gillette, plans to finish Highland Community College program for Diesel Tech, wants to work as a Shop Technician or become a Traveling Diesel Technician;

• Cole Grimes, Kansas State University, major in Agronomy to become a Sales Agronomist;

• Mya Grimes, Kansas State University, dual major in Nursing and Nutrition to become a Nurse Practitioner;

• Jacob Grimm, Washburn University, play football, major in Sports Therapy, plans to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree;

• Joshua Grimm, Washburn University, play football and throw in track and field, major in Kinesiology, plans to earn a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree;

• Abbey Gugelman, Highland Community College and Emporia State University, major in Music Education;

• Alexia Hayden, attend a four-year college, study Elementary Education with a minor in Math, hopes to get master’s degree in Education;

• Cole Hinton, plans to join the Marine Corps on a four-year contract;

• Turner Howard, plans to go into the workforce in Agriculture;

• Alexa Kaufman, Washburn University, get bachelor’s degree in International Business with a minor in Leadership Studies;

• Zach Kibbe, Kansas State University for Air Force ROTC program, major in Mechanical Engineering;

• Gwen Konig, Kansas State University, major in Social Work;

• Mason Krogmann, Highland Western Center, study welding, wants to work at Krogmann Manufacturing;

• Aiden Lang, United States Military Academy, major in Mechanical Engineering;

• Logan LaVoie, enlist in the Army Reserves as a Behavioral Health Specialist, attend MidAmerica Nazarene University to major in Ministry, go on to seminary at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary;

• Leah Lukert, University of Kansas, major in Marketing or Interior Design;

• Christian McAfee, Benedictine College, play football, major in History, wants to become a high school history teacher and coach;

• Colin Menold, Southeast Community College, plans to wrestle, study Agribusiness;

• Nate Menold, plans to work as an Agronomist at Hamlin Seed Company;

• Taylor Menold, currently working at NorthRidge Family Development Center and is seeking other employment opportunities;

• Tyler Menold, plans to work at Grimm’s Gardens;

• Brayden Meredith, Barton Community College, plans to wrestle, major in welding, wants to achieve a career in the welding field;

• Jackson Meyer, plans to go into the workforce or attend a trade school;

• Emerson Montgomery, Kansas State University, major in Fashion Studies, specialize in Fashion Design and Fashion Business;

• Nekoda Niehues, plans to go into the workforce and possibly work at HydraBed in Sabetha;

• Rowde Rilinger, plans to move away from Sabetha and get a job;

• Dalton Rokey, Hutchinson Community College, major in Fire Science;

• Jenna Rokey, plans to take several mission training courses and enter into the mission field as a long-term missionary;

• Teagan Saner, Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Neb., plans to go into further education and major in Culinary Arts;

• Harper Schmelzle, Benedictine College, study Electrical Engineering;

• Mia Schweitzer, plans to work with animals as a Dog Groomer;

• Harper Smith, Frost School of Music at University of Miami, major in Music Industry;

• Nyah Strahm, University of Miami, major in Marine Biology and Ecology;

• Kaine Teske, Washburn Tech for the Information Systems Technologies course;

• Will Ulrich, Kansas State University, study Business;

• Bayley Wasinger, Pittsburg State University, major in Accounting with a minor in Fraud Examination;

• Kellen Wenger, North Central Kansas Technical College, major in Electrical Technology;

• Ellie Wessel, Cloud County Community College, plans to get an associate degree in Animal Science;

• Cullen Wikle, plans to go on wheat harvest;

• Malachai Wilson, plans to go into the Army or a different branch depending on a later decision;

• Aidan Wittwer, plans to go into the workforce, is currently working at Morrill Elevator.
